Revenue allocation
I worked with the Revenue Allocation IT team on supply chain applications that let business users map rules and allocations for large-scale accruals more efficiently. Mostly C# on ASP.NET, with PL/SQL underneath.
This was the first time I built something for a specific group of internal users I could walk over and talk to. One requirement stuck: the people who understood the accounting had to be able to use it, and they were not the people who understood the database.
